"I nervously entrusted my precious 40 year old Longines to Yan for its very first service. I needn't have worried. He talked me through every step of the operation via text message and sent me a written report on my watch complete with pictures. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome - and the price!"

"Yan serviced two of my watches (both vintage) and also swapped a strap on another one. Everything he did was great and I am really happy with the results. He is very easy to work and flexible. Highly recommend going to see him for any of your watch concerns!"

"It isn't often that I feel confident enough to pass on a recommendation of work to my friends but in this case, I have no reservations at all. Yan was first class and nothing was too much trouble for him. My wife's Omega 620 looks and works better than ever. I will also be sending my Omega for its next service. If you are looking for care and attention then look no further. Thank you, Yan."

"I sent Yan a Doxa ultraspeed by Synchron 36,000bph. The hour and minute hands did not move the problem was the third wheel pinion. Yan sent well documented pictures of my watch stripped and kept me informed with photos of the repair.
Now it works perfectly I would sincerely trust him with any watch in my collection. It's always nice to know there is someone I can rely on for any watch related issues at a reasonable price."

"Superb! Serviced my Omega and made it like new! Just awesome!!!"

"I have two longines watches that I thought I would have to scrap because the cost of repair would greatly outweight their value.
Mechanical Watch Services changed that. At a very reasonable cost my watches were repaired and returned to me looking like new and working perfectly despite them being over 60 years old. I was informed of the progress of the work regularly, including pictures!
I cannot recommend him highly enough."

"I am emailing to say a big thank you for bringing my Sorna alarm watch back to life and turning it from a watch destined to be left in the wardrobe into something to be shown off and used. I've worn it for the last 2 days solid and it works perfectly, kept perfect time and feels like a watch to be trusted again! Your step by step description of the work done is a really nice record of the hard work done. I was in two minds whether to get the watch fixed, but am so pleased I did, and am pleased that if another watch of mine needs work, I have found an expert I can turn to.
Many thanks again
Gerard W."

"Yan of 70sWatches made a great service of my Heuer. I have owned it over 25 years, during which time it has had maybe four TAG services. It has never run better than it does now. As he uncovered each issue he told me what his options were, and the implications regarding time and money, so I felt informed all the way through. He is a true watch geek, and technically proficient, which inspires confidence. I would not hesitate to recommend Yan, and will use his services again myself. Just do not expect a short answer if you ask him a juicy question!" David H.

"Yan went above and beyond for such a good price - I was quoted about 2-3 times as much for a service and repair by a local antique specialist  who said it would take him weeks. I got my clock back in under a week.
He constantly kept me updated and sent brilliantly detailed photos of his findings and the before and after of almost every piece he repaired and cleaned. I'm fascinated by watches and felt like I was with him during the process. He asked how I'd like it polished on the outside, which was really considerate because I personally wanted it looking more rustic, but other watch repairers in the past have left my watches looking new. This really was the most personalised service. I'm used to someone just doing what they will and charging me afterwards and feeling like I don't really know whether they've done anything and why it cost that much. The opposite with Yan, he gave me a price breakdown as soon as he assessed the watch and all the photos of the process made me feel like my Dad's prized watch was in the best of hands." Maria H.

"I would like to say this man has repaired two watches for me and he has done a fantastic Job, I would highly recommend him you will never be disappointed with his work. He is so good at his job and his prices are also very good too. Very pleased" Christopher E.

"I used Yan to fix my automatic Longines after cracking the screen. This meant that the hands were stopping. Yan took the watch in, explained the issue to me, sourced parts, and fixed it. It’s now working perfectly!" Sean P.

"He serviced my Longines watch. I was extremely happy with the service. He was professional, quick and it was at a very competitive rate. He even showed me photos of the watch whilst he was workign on it ! A extremely satisfied customer !" Alex K.

"It is so nice to finally have a 'Watch Guy' that you can relay on and recommend.  After getting my vintage Seiko watch serviced at several well established watch repairs in London and spending hundreds on it, still not fixing the issue. He found the problem, fully serviced and made it brand new at a very respectable price with lots of advice and knowledge included too.  Three years down the line this 1976 piece is working and keeping time perfectly.  I have recommended him to three of my friends and they all say the same as me, legend!" Mark G.

"I had recently been given a 'barnfind' Omega - originally my grandfathers but minus strap, non functioning and tired. Yan provided an accurate restoration estimate and undertook a very thorough renewal of my timepiece. The process was well documented and kept me informed with photos and emails throughout. He identified several subtle deviations from the original components that had been made over time that we were able to correct. The end result is a true, sensitive and historically accurate restoration - delightful. I am thrilled to have this classic watch restored to its former glory. I would not hesitate to assign any future restoration work to him" - Braddan J.

"The watch arrived this morning.
Thanks for the service and new stem. It is great to find someone who is so knowledgeable and can repair vintage watches at such a reasonable price.
Should any of your customers require confirmation of your expertise they can contact me via ebay messages, my id is rail_lines.
Thanks again." - Mark C.
