Vintage Swiss manual watch under the brand Jaquet Cobur featuring a highly unusual and beautiful dial. A very special looking watch with the unique dial and generous size (35mm without the crown and 44mm from lug to lug). Alfex watch company itself have been quite successful according to
Watch Wiki and its main focus are the low to the medium end of the watch market in from 60s onwards. This must be a small production for the watch brand Jaquet Cobur using a higher quality Ronder 1233-21 movement instead of the lower grade pin lever escapement. I just adore the brown textured quadrant divided dial and its typical 70s baton style markers and hands. A very smart looking watch in my opinion.

The condition of the chrome plating at the front of the case isn't too bad - I would consider it as good condition |
|
The chrome crown is also in a reasonable condition |
|
Thin case design with low profile acrylic crytal |
|
Beautiful quadrant divided textured dial in brown/bronze colour |

Stainless steel snap-on back |

Alfex Ltd and Swiss made stamped at the inside of the case back |

Its a shame that there are some corrosions and pitting at the back of the case. Movement marked Alfex Ltd and under the balance shows the RAX (the import code of Ronda in the US) |
i have a very similar one to this watch do you know how much is worth as i can't seem to find none online
ReplyDeleteHi, difficult to say without knowing the condition, I would say between £50 to £100 if the watch is it very good condition and a bit more if it is new old stock. But as it all vintage items, valuation isnt set in stones.
